 Liquid form Beta-Glucanase GC-500 for Food Use

DESCRIPTION

Beta-Glucanase GC-500 is produced from strains of Trichoderma reesei by submerged fermentation and advanced extraction process. It is an endoglucanase which can specifically hydrolyze beta-1,3 and beta-1,4 glycosidic linkages of Beta-Glucan to produce oligosaccharide containing 3∼5 glucose unit and glucose. It contains hemicellulase and can effectively break down beta-glucan in wheat and cereal endosperm cell wall.

EFFECT OF PH

  • GC-500 can work at pH from 3.5 to 6.5, with its optimal pH range from 4.5 to 5.5. See Figure 1

EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE

  • GC-500 can work at temperatures from 30 to 65°C, with its optimal temperature range from 37 to 55°C. It will be completely inactivated at temperatures above 80°C for 10 minutes. See Figure 2

USAGE GUIDELINES

The optimal dosage of GC-500 should be determined according to the actual situation. Typical dosage in beer brewery is 10 to 50 grams per ton of malt wort.

 

PACKAGING, STORAGE & SHELF-LIFE

GC-500 is packaged in 25kg, 30kg HDPE plastic drums or 1125kg IBC totes. Customized packaging is available upon request.
 Typical shelf-life is six months if it is stored below 25°C in its original packaging, sealed and
unopened, protected from the sunlight.
 Its shelf-life will be eighteen months if this product is stored properly at 0∼10°C.
 This enzyme has been formulated for optimal stability. Prolonged storage and/or adverse conditions such as higher temperatures may lead to a higher dosage requirement.

 

SAFETY & ENZYME HANDLING

Inhalation of enzyme dust and mists should be avoided. In case of contact with skin or eyes, promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. For detailed handling information, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet.
