According to GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), Food Fraud is a collective term encompassing the deliberate and intentional substitution, addition, tampering or misrepresentation of food, food ingredients or food packaging, labeling, product information or false or misleading statements made about a product for economic gain that could impact consumer health.
Although Food Fraud will never be fully eliminated, effective actions can be taken to minimize the vulnerability for Food Fraud by reducing opportunities for fraudsters. In order to prevent food fraud, a documented procedure on food fraud mitigation and prevention has been established in our production facility.
As a part of the food fraud mitigation and prevention program, refresh training in this regard was conducted by our internal trainer Huang Xiujie recently. All of the production shift leaders, QC inspectors and warehouse staff received the refresh training.
